America is experiencing a renewal of interest in matters of the spirit. However, a closer look reveals that many people assemble the truth of God themselves, in a fashion that pleases them. Love and affirmation are still popular. They can stay. Moral absolutes are restrictive. They must go.

This makes no sense. We cannot each choose our own truth. A thing is true or it is not. At the Abbeyville Road Christian Church, we believe that truth is known only when the Author of all that is true, our Creator and God, reveals His truth. He has done this through the created world, through the Bible, but, ultimately, in His Son, Jesus Christ, Who came to show us God, His Father. Unless people are reconnected to the living God of the universe, truth cannot be known. Jesus reconnects us to God, our Father and Creator.

Our purpose is to glorify God through winning souls to Christ, through helping His people grow toward Christ-likeness, and through worshiping Him.
